Santiago Ydañez is one of the Spanish artists with the greatest international recognition for his paintings. Much of Santiago Ydañez`s work is nurtured by his childhood memories, woven together with his knowledge of nature and his cultural concerns, his love for the history of art and literature. Ydáñez begins to paint at the age of 19, his first vocation was that of paleontologist.

He studies Fine Arts at the University of Granada and conducts workshops with Juan Genovés and Alfonso Albacete, painters who are also part of the MAXAM Collection.
